The Scottish Primary School Glee Challenge
2022
Inspiring Scotland's young people through song

We are delighted to be back hosting the Scottish Primary School Glee Challenge 2022.
This is Scotland’s largest inclusive schools choir initiative. Each year the Challenge engages with thousands of primary school children creating opportunities and benefits for school communities across Scotland. We also provide access to a range of resources for participating schools including videos, lesson plans, backing tracks and lyrics.
Had it not been for Covid-19, 2022 would have been our tenth consecutive year of delivering the Challenge so what better time than this to make a comeback. However, due to the continued uncertainty we have had to make changes for this year. So please read on and join us in bringing joy back to our schools
The Challenge-Phases
Phase 1 – we are inviting schools to form a Glee choir/choir and submit a video of their choir performing two songs (set song, to be announced in the New Year and one other of their own choosing).
Phase 2 – the videos will be assessed by our judges who will select choirs for four area finals which will be held after the spring break
Phase 3 – selected choirs will be invited to attend one of the four area finals (Covid-19 restrictions permitting). The areas will be confirmed early in the new year
Phase 4 – the winning choirs from each of the area finals along with the four top scoring schools across the four area finals will be invited to join the National Final. Again, Covid-19 restrictions permitting
